The Last Spy Film Screening & Wine Reception
Did you know that Bettina’s father, Peter Sichel, is the subject of a movie? Before he turned his family’s Blue Nun wine into an international success story, he had a very big career in the CIA. The movie, The Last Spy, uses Peter’s life story to examine the formation and development of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency and how its mission eventually included overthrowing democratically elected governments, such as the government of Mohammed Mosadegh of Iran in the early 1950s. Timely, no?
Join Bettina and the entire Laurel Glen team for a reception at The Rialto Theater before the movie. We’ll be serving Laurel Glen ‘p.s.’ Riesling’ (the wine Bettina made as a tribute to her father) and Laurel Glen ‘Counterpoint’ Cabernet Sauvignon (Peter Sichel’s favorite Laurel Glen wine) along with a selection of finger foods.
