Cabernet and its Sidekick Merlot – A Virtual Tasting with Laurel Glen Vineyard and Rasa Winery

Join Randall Watkins, Winemaker for Laurel Glen Vineyard, and Pinto Naravane with Rasa Winery for a virtual tasting to discuss all things Cabernet Sauvignon and its Sidekick Merlot on Friday, November 15th at 5pm PST on Zoom.

In this interactive format, we will feature two top Cabernet Sauvignon producers from two different growing regions, Sonoma Mountain and Columbia Valley, known for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition to discussing this noble red grape variety and how it excels in these two AVAs, we will also delve into the influence and contribution of Merlot as a blending grape variety. While an essential primary grape variety of the world, Merlot is a grape variety often acknowledged as the perfect partner to Cabernet in making some of the finest wines anywhere.
